New Joint Commission Perinatal Care Core Measure on Breastmilk Feeding
Beginning January 1, 2014, Maternity Hospitals delivering at least 1,100 infants annually MUST report on PC-05 (Single term newborns discharged alive from the hospital).

The Certified Lactation Educator CLE™ Course has been effectively used to train public health nurses, home visitation nurses, prenatal educators, WIC staff, peer counselors and other individuals in hospitals or community services.
This course covers the Core Breastfeeding Competencies of the USBC and satisfies the World Health Organization and Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative 20 Hour Course requirements.
